I guess I should have expected this list to be weird given how 2020 has gone so far. In what world would I have expected 30% of this list to be nonfiction? Even the fact that the other 60% are entirely romance or paranormal fantasy is would have been odd for me a couple of years ago. And not a single fantasy or science fiction novel?? WHAT HAS HAPPENED??

This book felt so....real. I'm really picky when music shows up in my books, and although this was not a classical music book I can always tell when an author really doesn't get what it means to be a performer or musician. This author? She gets it. Guys I just don't know why I do this to myself. First let me start off by saying: Patrick Ness is an AMAZING author, and you should absolutely read this series! It's incredibly well crafted in every possible way. The world that Ness has built is so entirely different than any other book I've ever read. This week's topic has some obvious choices, despite the fact that it is otherwise a challenging topic for me. I am a notorious rereader - probably 30% of what I read yearly are rereads. If I don't reread something I like a lot, it's probably because I don't feel like I'd gain anything from a reread, or I just don't feel like I have enough of an Elizabethhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17058009271288566400noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7178753992132096505.post-34242245456655885662018-04-01T22:30:00.001-04:002018-04-01T22:45:54.088-04:00A Day in the Life #53 In which Elizabeth is a bit vulnerable

This was definitely an interesting story, but dear GOD it was long. And this is coming from the QUEEN of huge book reading! Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey
Kushiel's Dart is probably one of my most recommended reads and one of the most mentioned series on this blog since I first discovered it in 2013.
