Feature and Follow: Biggest City You Live Near

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

This week's prompt couldn't have come at a better time as I'm literally in a big move from one big city to another big city.  And so, a letter to two of the most important cities in my life:

Goodbye, Chicago.

City of the most beautiful skyline I've ever seen, beaches galore, and water taxis.  City of the most perfect apartment in the coolest section of a city I've ever lived in.  City with trees and free live bands and surprisingly great Mexican food.

Goodbye Chicago, city of snow (that I have grown to love).  City with a winter that last 8 months and below 0 degree weather (that I will not miss).  Goodbye Chicago, city of my heart. Perhaps we'll meet again :)

Hello Baltimore!

City of dragon boats, a billion Indian restaurants, and cheap sake.  City of cherry blossoms, the Inner Harbor, and my Alma Mater.   Hello Baltimore, city with my best friend, city with my boyfriend!

Hello Baltimore, I think we're going to get along just fine :)

  3. I hope you'll feel as great in Baltimore as you did in Chicago, Elizabeth. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures.

I can't find a way to follow you, but I'll search around a little so that I can :)

    Have a fantastic Friday!

  7. I have to say, as much as I complained about the cold, and as much as after like a month with snow I was sick of it...the first few days are always kind of magical :)

  8. It seems like everyone I know is moving out there now that I've left! It's not like I hate Baltimore, but Chicago really is pretty much the city of my heart. And yes - they're both Korean haha! Dave (BFF) is pretty Americanized, but Sejoon (BF) grew up in Korea. He's actually back there right now! (Abandoning me to move without him *scowls*)

I couldn't seem to find your blog, so if you see this leave me a link so I can go check it out!

  9. I don't have a CLUE how my mobile site works, so I'm glad you figured it out! I'm sure I'll love Baltimore - I lived here for four years before moving to Chicago. I'm just not sure I'll ever love it as much as I loved Chicago, but that's ok. There's loads of Indian restaurants next to me, so I'm pretty easily satisfied with that haha!

  10. O.O NEVER?! Even when I was growing up in the south we got snow every few years! Snow is great for visiting - when you live with it you have to deal with all the mush haha. Go visit a place with snow!

  12. I am definitely going to miss Chicago - it's my favourite city I've lived in by far! Luckily I loved living in Baltimore too, so I'm happy to be back :)

  15. I am so excited about your move. I love the east coast all together. I have been to both Chicago and Baltimore. Both only 1 day visits. I loved both of them and just had an amazing time. Have fun!!

  16. I'm a bit of a nomad because I've lived pretty much everywhere in the US at this point, but I spent the majority of that time on the east coast, so it remains most home-feeling to me.
